Job Title: Assistant Superintendent Core/Shell

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Superintendent Core/Shell to join our construction management team for a major hyperscale data center project . The ideal candidate will bring strong field management experience in core/shell construction, with a proven background in large-scale, complex projects exceeding $500M . This role requires a deep understanding of MEP systems , site coordination, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent in managing day-to-day field operations for core/shell construction activities on a hyperscale data center project.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Monitor project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Provide strong field oversight of MEP installations and integration with core/shell structures.
• Conduct regular site inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Assist in resolving field issues, RFIs, and conflicts to minimize delays.
• Maintain detailed project documentation including daily reports, logs, and progress tracking.
• Support quality control efforts and punch-list closeout.
• Foster collaborative communication between project management, engineering, and subcontractor teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working on data center projects, preferably hyperscale.
• Hands-on field leadership experience with core/shell construction .
• Proven exposure to hyperscale projects ($500M+) .
• Strong MEP background with ability to oversee complex installations.
• Experience working with large general contractors (prior tenure with hyperscale/data center GCs is a plus).
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, scheduling, and field reporting.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, large-scale project environment.
