Life on TASHS Campus
Boarding & Commuter Setup
The school operates both Boarding and Day student systems, though boarding capacity is limited and most students commute
Dormitories are complemented by communal buildings like the science block, Home Economics block, dining hall and assembly hall, many funded and built by the community and PTA .
Facilities & Infrastructure
Academic buildings include around eight (8) classroom blocks, six (6) teachers bungalow, an administration block, ICT block and a library.
Non-academic facilities are more limited. Currently, there’s no on-campus sports field – students make use of the nearby community ground for sports which creates lot of challenges to the students. The school is now trying to construct a sports complex on the school campus.
Recent infrastructure efforts include a borehole for clean water under the Water For All Initiative by the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu. This project is a crucial step towards ensuring sustainable access to clean water for students and staff.
Student Life & Activities
Co-curricular clubs are active, such as choir, debate, cultural club, HIV/AIDS awareness club, Home Makers, and a Cadet Corps trained by the military.
The school participates in athletics, games, and cultural events, with notable achievements in cross-country running and tag-of-war competition.
Health And Wellness
An ultra modern CHPS compound is available just opposite the school dinning hall to take care of the students when they are sick.
Community & Environment
Nestled in a picturesque valley near Ho, the campus is surrounded by mountains, lush greenery, and clean streams – giving it a serene environment for studies.
Academics & Staff
The school offers programs in General Arts, Agriculture, Business, Home Economics, and Visual Arts.
Staff includes around 70+ teachers and 25 non-teaching personnel, supporting an enrollment that has grown to over 800 under FSHS.
Tanyigbe SHS offers a warm blend of academic rigor, active student life, and strong community backing, all set in a calm natural environment. Students not only engage in clubs and athletics but also benefit from practical wellness programs.
The school continues to build up its facilities – particularly in water access and sports infrastructure – through both government initiatives and local efforts.
