Ho MCE Commissions New Staff Accommodation and Administration Block at Tanyigbe SHS

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Ho Municipal Assembly, Hon. Stephen Adom, has commissioned newly completed educational facilities at Tanyigbe Senior High School to enhance teaching and learning at the institution.

The facilities include a four-unit two-bedroom staff accommodation block for male teachers, a four-unit two-bedroom staff accommodation block for female teachers, and an administration block that houses a library and a computer laboratory.

The project was originally initiated in 2016 under the leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama but stalled for several years. After assuming office, the current administration revived the project and, in 2025, re-awarded the contract to a new contractor to ensure its successful completion.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Stephen Adom noted that the completion of the project would help improve the working and living conditions of teachers while also providing better learning facilities for students.

Present at the ceremony were the former Headmaster, Mr. E. G. Seake-Kwawu; the current Headmaster, Mr. Samuel Bruku; staff members of the school; and a team from the Ghana Education Service office.

The completion and commissioning of the facilities are expected to strengthen educational infrastructure at Tanyigbe Senior High School and support quality teaching and learning in the Ho Municipality.
